 Intrepid delivered in every way. The handcycle I ordered was beautiful, looked a bit like metal-art, and the color, I was offered to custom-choose, simply gorgeous. A piece of the cycle fell out in shipping and within 24 hours of contact, the part arrived no questions asked. Where have you seen that kind of service in these days? Intrepid is one great company making one great product - at prices that make staying active for the disabled, an actuality!

 We ended up ordering an Intrepid tourer for our son because we were impressed with their quality of construction *and* their customer service. Graham Butler, the designer and builder of the bikes, met us at the shop with his brother. They went over every intimate detail of the bikes with us, let us take things apart and practically flog them to test their strength, and pointed out the specific design issues that would help our son use a handcycle to his best advantage. We especially liked the hellaciously strong coupler that can be disengaged to compact the bikes for transport, and the wide range of adjustability that would enable the bike to grow with him. Then the Butlers packed up half a dozen bikes into the trailer, and we followed them out to Mission Bay where everyone in the family was given free reign to ride the handcycles for more than an hour. There are worse scenarios for trying out a product, let me tell you!

 I recently purchased an Intrepid Tourer and began riding it almost daily this spring. After many miles, we noted that the centering spring would likely need replacement soon, so I called Graham on the 800 number to get advice. To my surprise, his response was "No problem, suppose we hand deliver the part to you in central Washington tomorrow!" Needless to say, I was amazed. It turned out that Graham and Pat were traveling East from Seattle and were able to detour through my home town of Wenatchee. They came right here and actually rode with me for 10 miles on our local loop trail. Then they went to work and performed a tune-up of my tourer on the spot! It was great to meet both of them and realize that you can still have such experiences with "real" people in the business world! They are truly great folks. (The Tourer rolled along much smoother after their visit also!)
