Intrepid Equipment offers several options for painting or powder coating your handcycle.

Stock colors

We offer stock colors in solids and metallics. The stock handcycle comes with a black seatback and a colored frame.You can choose any of these popular frame colors at no additional charge.

Colors are affected by light, humidity, age, mixing and baking conditions. These samples are provided as a guide only and might vary slightly from the actual color. To see some of these colors on our bikes please visit our image gallery.

Custom colors

This is for customers that want a color that is not included in our stock color choices. Some people want to match their handcycle color to their car, others are just looking for something unique. We can match almost any color, the choices are virtually limitless and include solids, metallic, metal specks, prismatics and pearls. The additional cost of a custom colors that do not require special application is $250.00 plus the cost of the paint or powder.

Basic paint combinations

You can have us paint your handcycle with a variety of color combinations using the stock paint colors. This would be a multi-color coordination scheme of your choosing. This option comes at additional cost due to the high amount of labor and attention to detail that is involved. Prices range greatly but start at $100.00 for a two tone scheme with limited masking.

If you choose custom colors you also have the choice of reflective silver, black or white decals.

Special designs, colors, masking and bike art

If you are looking for a handcycle that is also a work of art then this option is for you. Whatever it is that you are looking from flames to custom bike art then this is the option for you. We will work with you to arrive that the perfect frame finish.

We can incorporate special paints into your design including prismatics, and harlequins which incorporate the use of multiple metallic colors into a single formula so that it appears to change colors as the viewing angle changes. Your imagination can run wild with this option.

Special designs and paints can be quite expensive and need to be priced on an individual basis.
